Introduced in House (01/14/1975) Defines, for purposes of the Antitrust Civil Process Act, the term "antitrust investigation." Expands the definition of "person" under such Act to include any natural person. States that whenever the Attorney General or Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, has reason to believe that any person may be in possession, custody, or control of documentary material, or have knowledge of facts relevant to a civil antitrust investigation, he may, prior to institution of a criminal or civil proceeding, issue and serve a civil investigative demand requiring production of or answers on such materials.
